The brief
Malaysia's largest telco wanted its annual Tech Fair to show, not tell, how 5G and AI fit into everyday life. The theme: Work, Live and Play Smarter with AI, brought to life at one of the Klang Valley's busiest malls with partners including Samsung, Honor, Xiaomi, Google, Oppo and Vivo.
The experience
Visitors stepped through an AI Gateway arch into an AI City of themed districts for living, working, playing, content and shopping, each with hands-on demos, contests and AI-driven experiences. A digital passport tied the journey together: collect a stamp in every district, then claim prizes at the Reward Station. An F1 simulator challenge in the PS5 corner, live robot showcases, Tech Talks and live shows on the Townsquare stage kept the concourse moving from 10am to 10pm.
The result
Five days of steady crowds across 7,160 sq ft, with completed passport journeys climbing sharply into the weekend. The F1 challenge was oversubscribed, the accessories area drew noticeably more visitors than the year before, and robot showcases at the entrance pulled shoppers deeper into the fair.
